The Emory Center for Digital Scholarship works with scholars and practitioners across Emory and at other institutions in Atlanta, across the South, and throughout the world to support and build innovative digital projects, publications and pedagogy.
We develop innovative open source platforms, such as Readux, and create a wide range of digital projects in collaboration with faculty, staff, and students across the university and beyond.
Learn MoreWe use technologies including Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, 3D modeling, and 360 degree video to produce innovative projects in support of teaching, learning and research at Emory and beyond.
Learn MoreWe publish a range of open access multi-media journals. These journals are vital public-facing outlets for scholarly research and also provide the graduate students who staff them with invaluable experience.
Learn MoreWe educate students, staff and faculty about digital methods and platforms via one-on-one consultations and class visits, workshops, and professional development programs for graduate students. Select ECDS staff also teach undergraduate courses of their own.
Learn MoreWe regularly partner with local, regional, national and international organizations outside of Emory to develop exciting projects that align with our mission and increase our impact beyond the university.
Learn MoreWe sponsor a number of annual events which bring nationally recognized scholars and practitioners to campus to enrich conversations about digital possibilities.
Learn MoreWe responded to the COVID-19 pandemic by seamlessly transitioning our operations and offerings to virtual platforms (including workshops and consultations) as well as engaging with the topic of the pandemic itself through select projects and publications.
Learn MoreWe recommitted our support for digital scholarship that furthers social justice and racial equality in 2020 and directly engaged these issues in a number of projects and publications.
