Atlanta Community Support Project (ACSP) is an empowerment organization for people impacted by poverty and incarceration. Through community-based research and resource development, they provide those navigating discrimination and reentry the tools needed for self-advocacy and civic engagement.
ACSP partnered with ECDS Digital Publishing Specialist Dr. Bailey Betik to create and launch their toolkit resources, available through their website.
The Journal of Humanities in Rehabilitation (JHR) is a peer-reviewed, multimedia, open-access journal published by ECDS that aims to raise the consciousness and deepen the intellect of the humanistic relationship in the rehabilitation sciences. Committing to providing a space for publication on disability and rehabilitation studies, accessibility is key to the mission of JHR. Pieces published in 2024 include “Playful Practices: Reflections on Teaching About Narrative Roleplaying Games in Care Contexts,” “A Quarter-Century Post-Olmstead, We’re Still Waiting for Freedom” and “Considerations for Addressing Cisgenderism and Heterosexism in Canadian Outpatient Physiotherapy Clinics”.
